Logistical Planning

HVO Volunteers may use any travel agent they choose to handle their flight arrangements. We do recommend MTS due to their familiarity with our countries of service.

  • Contact Katrina Weimar at MTS Travel: 800-888-8292 x87677; katrinaw@mtstravel.com
  • You may also book online with MTS Travel by visiting MTS Travel Online (MTO)

  • Volunteers going to Bhutan will receive additional recommendations in terms of travel agencies.

Passport: Be sure that your passport is current and be aware that some countries require visitors to have a passport that is valid six months after they have left the country. Make sure that you have enough pages in your passport for the visa(s). It is also a good idea to take a copy of the face sheet of your passport with you (but keep it in a different place than your passport).
