As part of its 20th anniversary festivities HVO released a fund-raising CD of acoustic music written and performed by Barry J. Gainor, MD, a 20 year veteran of the organization. Dr. Gainor is a seasoned multi-instrumentalist and singer/songwriter who has authored two previous CD’s which sold-out. His new HVO album entitled “Compass Points,” features a mixed bag of fun-filled and sometimes thoughtful tunes about international medical volunteerism. Several tracks include children singers, and tunes like the “Humanitarian Cha-Cha” and “Infestation” whimsically chronicle the adventures of an HVO assignment. To listen to a sampling of the CD, click here. The CD is available for a minimum donation of $25 and all proceeds will go to the HVO 20th anniversary fund.
