The Golden Apple Award

All HVO volunteers are dedicated to the mission of sharing their knowledge and skills with faculty, students and clinicians at HVO sites. However, on occasion, there comes along a volunteer whose contribution of time and talent is so exceptional that special recognition is deserved.

The purpose of this award is to recognize the extraordinary contributions of HVO volunteers in support of educational activities at HVO’s training sites. The contribution may take the form of curriculum development, teacher training, mentoring of faculty, students or clinicians, didactic or clinical training, development of education and resources, etc.

Stipulations:

1) No self-nominations

2) Recipients of the Award from the previous year are not eligible.

3) Nominations can be received for current and past volunteers.

4) Up to ten awards will be given each year.

5) Deadline for all nominations is March 1^st.

Benefits:

1) All awardees of the year will receive a special certificate as a symbol of appreciation for their amazing efforts.

2) All awardees of the current year will be listed in HVO’s Annual Report.

3) An on-going list of awardees and their accomplishments will be posted on HVO’s website. (To view a list of the 2008 recipients please click here)

4) Press releases will be sent out about all awardees to the appropriate local, national and trade media.
