Fundraising with Firstgiving
HVO has recently partnered with an organization called Firstgiving that provides an on-line fundraising tool for non-profits. Firstgiving provides the means for HVO members to create personal fundraising pages in order to raise funds for an upcoming volunteer assignment or for a specific project such as the Uganda Guest House Renovation.
Firstgiving fundraising pages provide a secure and easy way for your friends, family, colleagues, etc to support your involvement with HVO. All donations made through Firstgiving are sent directly to HVO and are tax-deductible to the donor. The donor will automatically receive an e-mail thanking them for their support along with the proper information they need for their taxes.
